On Saturday, June 16, 2018, Manitoba’s Royal Canadian Sea Cadets, in conjunction with the Manitoba Division of The Navy League of Canada, celebrated their 100th year of serving the youth of Canada. This day-long celebration started in the morning with the Freedom of the City Ceremony at Winnipeg City Hall. In the afternoon, Royal Canadian Sea Cadets and Navy League Cadets, from all of Manitoba’s Corps, marched down Broadway to the Manitoba Legislature grounds where they participated in a Centennial Celebration Ceremony. In the evening a reception was held at the Fort Garry Hotel for the dignitaries; while Alumni of the Sea Cadet program met at the Osborne Legion to reminisce.
