The nominations for the 2022 Division Executive are now open. If you would like to help the Navy League programs in Manitoba, the best way is to get involved with the Manitoba Division. This article details the process for nominating Branch members for service as an officer of the Manitoba Division of The Navy League of Canada.

The nominee must be a member in good standing and hold a current Branch membership card. To stand for an officer of the Division, the member must meet the above requirements and hold a valid screening card, or show proof that screening is in progress. All members standing for Division positions should have been an individual member for at least three years, but must have served at least one, and meet the requirements as described in NL 18 (E) The Navy League bylaws as they currently stand.

The following positions are open for nominations:

• President *
• Vice President, Navy League Cadets *
• Vice President, Sea Cadets *
• Secretary *
• Treasurer *
• Members at Large

* denotes an Executive Committee member

Current Branch Presidents are automatic members of the Divisional Council.

Position of the Immediate Past President is a non-elected position.

If you wish to nominate an existing Branch member, that is not currently serving on the Manitoba Division Council, submit the following three items to the Nominating Committee, as described in the Deadline & Submission Details section below:

1. the completed Nomination Form
2. proof of the nominee’s Branch membership (i.e. photocopy of membership card)
3. proof of the nominee’s Navy League screening (i.e. photocopy of Navy League of Canada Volunteer Identification Card)

If you are an existing member of the Manitoba Division Council, submit the following three items to the Nominating Committee, as described in the Deadline & Submission Details section below:

1. the completed Acceptance Form
2. proof of the nominee’s Branch membership (i.e. photocopy of membership card)
3. proof of the nominee’s Navy League screening (i.e. photocopy of Navy League of Canada Volunteer Identification Card)

The Nominating Chair will be accepting nominations for election to the Manitoba Division Council of The Navy League of Canada for the upcoming one-year term commencing April 9, 2022. Elections will be held at the Annual General Meeting based in Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 9, 2022. All those wishing to nominate an individual to the Divisional Council may do so by filling out the appropriate Nomination form and returning it with the required documentation.
