On April 17, 2021, during the Navy League of Canada National Annual General Meeting, LCdr Kevin Daeninck, of RCSCC John Travers Cornwell VC, was awarded the National President's Award for his many years of dedication, service and volunteering as a CIC officer with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet program. Each year the National President presents this award to only one CIC Officer in the whole country.
